WAP #8 Parents' letters

Dear parents,

您好!Greetings from Mrs. Li. I am so happy to have your child/children in my Chinese classroom this year. My name is Liz Li. I was born in mainland China. I am a native Chinese/Mandarin speaker. Chinese is such an important and fun language. We will learn the language and learn the culture while having fun this year. I have thought of the Chinese instruction for years. The traditional instruction requires a lot of painstaking practices. In that ways, students lost their interest very soon. Three years ago, I tried to develop a new Chinese instruction by using the American newest and also powerful instruction strategies. I am happy to see my students learn this language faster and more comfortable than before.

In this year, your child/children will learn how to use Mandarin to communicate. Students will also have a chance to build up a pen-pal relationship with the students in China!

Learning a language requires much practice. I will use technology tool to help students to practice their speaking and written Mandarin, such as voice recorder, video chat and so on. I would love to ask for your understanding and supportive of your child/children’s learning politely.

I can’t wait to start our new semester. I love hearing from parents. Please don’t be hesitated when you have any questions. My email address is lizli.424@gmail.com.

    Thank you again!

Best regards,

Mrs. Li
